I have two of the most spunky pets and I can't wait to tell you about them!
On January 21, 2006 a friend of mine's dog had puppies and I knew right away that I had to have one. I picked out the cutest, fattest pup and called her mine.
So in March 2006 I picked up my lil' girl, brought her home and named her Daisy.
one of her first photos
She and I bonded instantly. She would follow me around all the time and even if she was sound asleep laying next to me, if I got up, she got up too. puppy times
We have lived in 4 different places and traveled many miles over the years together. When I got out of a bad relationship awhile back we moved into my parents house with their 5 dogs so she gained many playmates.
she is well loved
Then in August of last year I moved from Dallas to Austin to live with Allen and brought my little girl with me. I spent alot of time from August to late November home with her since I was job hunting after just moving and she got used to all the Mommy and Daisy time. Then a couple of days before Thanksgiving last year I got an 8-5 job and things began to change. My sweet lovable little girl became scared, skittish, and defiant. She started using the bathroom in her bed and all around the apartment and she wouldn't have anything to do with Allen. It was really tough on me because she was making it hard on us with her behavior and a lot of time it felt like I was going to have to choose between the two of my loves. I finally decided this year that she needed a companion. I was willing to try anything to make her happy. So I got it stuck in my head that I was going to find another pug and had my mind set on finding a black one. I was browsing on meetup.com one day at the pug groups here in Austin and found a breeder who had just had a litter of puppies. I called her immediately. The pups were born on March 29, 2009 and we were able to drive out to the ranch and pick one out. I ended up picking out this little runt of a pug that was completely black with maybe 4 white hairs on her chest (some had more white than others and I wanted all black).
this was the day we picked her out
We picked her up in May and brought her home to a very unsure Daisy. I had already decided on her name before I even picked her out and I knew that my possible black female pug would be named Bella. :)She is completely different to raise compared to Daisy but it has been so much fun. She is a bundle of energy and full of life.
the day we brought Bella home
After 6 months now they are the best of friends. Always playing and loving on each other. I believe it has made a remarkable difference in Daisy's behavior since she loves Allen now and hasn't had one accident since June. My girls make me so happy and I love the joy they bring to each day!snugglin' with each other
So that's my (shortened) story of my girls (It was longer but I had to save y'all all the reading).I will leave you with some more of my favorite photos of them but if you would like to see more then "friend" me on facebook here and check out all of their loveliness there!
