The person responsible for the crash did this intentionally due to his own personal unhappiness. He also burned down his own house before taking his own life and endangering countless others when he decided to fly his plane into a building housing IRS employees.
(I don't want to give the loser any more press so I will just leave it at that. If you are interested in following the story just check CNN or any other National news site.)
It just makes you take a step back and look at what's really important. Yes we can all be stressed about various things and feel pressured in our daily lives but nothing is worth taking your own life let alone attempting to take many others out with you. I really just don't understand it.
I am taking this opportunity to be thankful for the path that God has placed me on. I have encountered many bumps and turns in my life (I actually was laid off less than a year ago from one of the buildings right across the highway) but I can't even imagine doing something to harm myself or others.
Updated to add: 2 confirmed deaths (one was a federal employee, the other is presumably the pilot), 13 injuries, 2 in critical care . . . and hundreds whose lives will be forever changed.
Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Psalms 37:5

Fellow Austinite here. It's just awful isn't it? I feel incredibly bad for his wife and daughter. What a horribly selfish man.
