Gettin' our grill on

After going 2 years without being able to have a grill at our apartment, you know what our first big purchase was going to be!  We went to Lowes on Friday night and picked up a large charcoal grill, took it home and made burgers on it that night.

And then of course steaks had to follow that up and let me just tell you that we have gone for 2 years pan frying our steaks and to finally be able to actually grill them was amazing!  They were some of the best steaks either of us has had in a long time!

they left us these lights on the patio and I Love them!

All of this cooking meant that I used a gas stove for the first time in my entire life.  I don't know why I've always had electric any place I've ever lived but this was a first for me and since it cooks pretty different from electric, it will take me some time to get used to.  But so far, so good.

one day, if I ever get married, I will register for nicer pots and pans . . . until then, I use what I've got :)

The dogs are loving the backyard for sure.  Daisy does her 'thing' then pops a squat on the patio . . .

Unpacking is coming along slowly but surely.  One thing I wanted to show off is this cute sign I bought at HobLob on their discount rack . . .

I know I could of made it myself but for $6 it was too cute to pass up

I will continue to post photos of the house as we get unpacked an organized.  We are still somewhat living out of boxes but I hope to have the majority of them cleared out by this weekend.
