Thanksgiving photos

Our Thanksgiving was family filled and so much fun.
We left Austin on Tuesday after I got off work and drove up to Dallas.  Tuesday night was a little rough for reasons I care not to go into but Wednesday morning we got up bright and early and met up with Allen's sister Jenny to take our Christmas card photo and photos for her portfolio.  It was an incredibly windy day and we managed to get in a few good photos despite it.  We then went back to Jenny's house afterwards, picked up the boys and took them to lunch.

they're such silly boys
Thanksgiving day we set out to Jenny's house again for dinner and birthday cake.

of course some wrestling with Uncle Allen was on the agenda

I bought some flowers for my Mama to make up for the horrible 1-800-Flowers debacle
On Friday my Mom's side of the family all went out to cousin Danny's house in East Texas, the Sandbox Ranch, for more Thanksgiving food and fun

I warned him not to go too fast but of course he didn't listen to me

On Saturday we had a smaller than normal group at my Gramma on my Dad's side.  We didn't lack in good food though and even with a fever I was able to eat my third Thanksgiving dinner just fine.

we always manage to have a round of train dominoes going

and who doesn't play volleyball with a gigantic oversized blue & green volleyball?!

 my wonderful family

On Saturday night we took a detour to Allen's parents so they could surprise him with his favorite dessert as a kid (Pumpkin Mallow pie) and a few presents for his upcoming birthday.

 someone's turning 32 in 8 days!

We went back to my parents house afterwards and ended up playing 4 rounds of Hand & Foot until about 3 am!  It's a complicated card game that my brother and sister-in-law taught us all and we can't get enough.

I caught a glimpse of Allen's cards

It was such a wonderful Thanksgiving that these photos don't even do justice to.  I love spending time with all my family and I'm so looking forward to all the Christmas festivities to come.
I hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!
