I'm linking up with both Jaime for What I'm Loving Wednesday and Michellefor Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday today - Love these girls!
Last time I did a WILW post was back on February 8th, 5 days before I went to Dallas for 3 weeks and it's still uncomfortable for me to think back to then. I know I haven't had a lot to 'love' the past few weeks so I'm having to find ways to cheer myself up.
It's super hard to lose such an important person in your life and some days are harder than others.
I'm Loving that we received our wedding video this past weekend and we watched it on Sunday. It was hard to watch for a few reasons, but most of all seeing my Gramma walk down the aisle and look so healthy was the hardest. She was determined to look good for my wedding and had her hairstylist style the hair she had left to look like it always used to and she was also determined to actually walk down the aisle without her wheelchair even though she was so weak. She did it and I'm so happy to have the video of her from our wedding to look back on.
On a lighter note, since I'm getting choked up again just thinking about it, another hard to watch piece of our video was our first dance . . we could have really used some dance lessons. Talk about middle-school dancing at it finest!
I do love having our video even if parts of it make me super teary.
I'm Loving the free 8x8 photo book Shutterfly gifted us that I used to make a honeymoon memory book. I'm going to write about each day in detail so we can look through one book instead of photos and a the journal I kept. Journaling your honeymoon is something I highly suggest since it's easy to forget the little details that you would really like to remember. I'm going to put the original journal in the box with all our keepsakes so I always have it but I'll be keeping the photo book out for display.
And I PROMISE to show our honeymoon photos very soon :)
I'm Loving the wedding we attended this past Saturday where our wedding DJ (and Allen's good friend) married his girlfriend of 11 years! They had one of the most unique weddings I've ever been to and it was so them. From the baudeville style band to the centerpieces on the tables, everything screamed Kit & Jenna. We wish them life-long happiness as husband and wife!
Can I just mention that Allen was about to throw out that shirt late last year since it was too small and now he fits back into it perfectly?! So proud of him! And I would like to say I wore this plain cotton dress to the wedding without spanx and felt great - booyah!
I'm Loving these recipes and can't wait to try them out asap!
