he can't stand flying

On the morning of our fourth day we had scheduled our romantic in-room breakfast for 9am.  We took our time getting ready to head out and we went to spend a little time in the ocean for awhile.  I didn't take my camera out this day because we had scheduled a snorkeling trip for the afternoon so I took my water camera instead.  A storm came rolling through right before we were supposed to head out so we had to wait a little bit to get on the boat.  When we finally got to the spot to snorkel the storm had mixed up the water so much that it wasn't as clear as it usually is so sadly none of our photos turned out.  However it was still beautiful and we loved swimming with the fish out in the ocean.  After I finally got the hang of snorkeling I didn't want to leave the reef!  We made it back to the resort late in the afternoon and decided to go kayak in the ocean.  That was an experience I've never had either and a serious arm workout!  We then went back to our room, ordered room service and took a much needed nap.  We left for dinner at one of the restaurants and drinks in the courtyard to end the night.
The next morning we got up at 5am to head down to the beach and grab a grass covered hut.  We learned that if you don't get down there that early there won't be anything available all day.  We watched the sunrise in Punta Cana and it was absolutely breathtaking!  We took a nap and relaxed most of the morning.  Krista & Nick joined us after awhile and we all hung out, having a few drinks and enjoying the day.  After awhile one of the resort excursion guys came over to our hut asking if we wanted to go para-sailing.  I finally convinced Allen and we left our hut with Krista & Nick to go sign-up.  We ended up being the only ones on the boat so they let us have an extended para-sailing trip.  It was another first for me and I absolutely loved it.  The view of the island from up above everything was just stunning!  Allen wasn't having a great time at all . . . he and heights don't mix.  They started to go to dip us and Allen freaked out a bit and yelled for them to bring us in.  We would have had the longest para-sailing trip if we could have just stayed up there but Allen was done with it so they brought us in.  We went back to our room in the early evening to clean up for dinner.  We went to the super popular hibachi restaurant and had the best dinner of our whole trip.  We ended the night back in the courtyard for the live music and drinks before deciding that we needed to get some sleep.
On our last day we got up somewhat early, went to breakfast then to the beach.  One of our favorite things to do the whole time we were there was look for seashells.  They aren't that easy to find so it became somewhat of a challenge that we continued with on our last day and Allen really excelled at.  We also filled a resort water bottle with sand to bring home.  We had our last lunch at the beach-side grill after checking out and holding our bags with the resort, then walked around the resort a bit and spent some more time at the pool bar.  We had a bus scheduled to pick us up to return to the airport and it was bittersweet to get on it and leave the resort.  The food was really the only negative the whole time since none of it was really that good but overall our honeymoon was amazing.  We can't wait to visit Punta Cana again!
