Friday Randoms: Austin meet-up, Advocare news & a prayer request

So that title pretty much sums up today's post for ya

~  I've worked with a couple bloggers to get an idea of a date for our next Austin meet-up and I'm happy to announce that the date, place & time has been set.  If you live in or around Austin and are available on the afternoon of January 26th then I highly suggest you comment with your email address so I can add you to the email that I'm sending out with all the details!
If you've already commented via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook then I have you on my list so no need to comment again.
Can't wait to meet some of you and see some of you whom I've already met again!

~  The new year brings new resolutions and with most people, one of the most common resolutions is to get healthier or lose weight.  Allen and I are no different.  At the beginning of last year Allen and I started out strong with Advocare and working out but by the end of the year we tapered off in our resolve.  So we're back at it again and of course with the success we had last year we are anxious to get back on the products we love and get some results.  Advocare just released a workout series aimed at increasing the results you would normally see with the 24 Day Challenge but can just as easily be added with any of their products.  It's the "Can You 24" DVD collection that consists of 7 different workouts that are 24 minutes each that are designed to help you melt, shred and sculpt your body.  The workouts can be customized from beginner to advanced depending on the level you need at any given time.  I wish we had, had this DVD last year when we first did the 24 Day Challenge but I'm excited to try it this year when we do the challenge for a second time.  You know I'll be starting on the beginner setting but that's quite okay with me as long as I start.
I'd love to get a group together if anyone's interested that would like to do the 24 Day Challenge with us and/or the "Can You 24" workouts.  We can be each other's motivators and help each other achieve our goals.  Who's in??
If you're interested in trying any Advocare products or want to chat with Allen and I about the health and fitness goals you're trying to reach this year please do not hesitate to contact us using the We Heart Advocare button above

~  My last thought of the day is a prayer request that I'm asking of you (or just a good thought if you aren't the praying type).  My cousin Rachael (some of you follow her on Pinterest) has been suffering with Crohn's disease for years now and was placed in the hospital yesterday with a high fever and stomach pains.  After running a bunch of tests they found an abscess on her intestines that is rapidly growing.  They placed her on a super strong antibiotic but the ultimate goal is surgery to remove it.  She is such a trooper with this condition while going to get infusions every few months to keep the pain associated with the disease to a minimum but what makes this the worst timing is that she 1) is a 3rd grade teacher and can't take much time off plus 2) she's getting married in exactly 57 days.  I know we can't help timing on things like this but with how much she already suffers with this disease, it's really the last thing she needs right now.
I'm just asking, pretty please, that you say a prayer for her health and quick recovery either by the antibiotics or the surgery.  Our family truly appreciates it!

just a sweet photo of her engagement last May outside the church her fiance grew up going to in Basingstoke, England

Have a wonderful weekend y'all!
