I'm in the process of planning my cousin Rachael's bridal shower and after using Kristen at Little Laws Prints for the shower I hosted in September I knew I had to request her help again for the invitations to this shower. I gave her a few key points; mason jars, girly and vintage with colors I wanted to base it around and she sent me this design which I absolutely fell in love with.
I requested 23 invitations at first thinking that I had the majority of the list already and then my aunt Kay & Rachael gave me their final list which meant that I was 9 short so after a quick email to Kristen about the updated number of invites needed I thought I was good to go.
Fast forward to a few days later when I received them in the mail and I immediately started addressing the envelopes. Leave it to me to goof something up because I stuffed all the invites into the envelopes then started licking . . . only I forgot that Rachael had given me some recipe cards she wanted included. So I stuck the 15 envelopes in the freezer (per Pinterest suggestion) and waited 3 hours to attempt to reopen them. That was a big ol' Pinterest fail for me so I got back on the computer and emailed Kristen to find out where I could get some of these envelopes since they're a specific size. She offered to send me the 15 I needed instead which was amazing.
I decided since I had a few days to wait for replacement envelopes that I would get the recipe cards out of the package, get everything organized and ready to "re-stuff." I didn't want to just include a note about the recipe cards in case it was overlooked when the envelope was open so I got on good ol' Word, typed up a short sentence, printed them out centered on the page then cut each one into strips. I grabbed a couple recipe cards, my scotch adhesive roller then wrapped each little note strip around the cards and adhered the overlapping strip of paper on the backside. Easy-peasy.
Now when the envelope is opened they can't miss the note about filling out the recipe cards and bringing it with them to the shower!
I'm in love with how these invites turned out and can't wait to shower Rachael with love on February 9th!
I highly recommend you check out Kristen at Little Laws Prints for your invitation & stationary needs and tell her I sent you!
