37 week bump-date

On Saturday January 11, 2014 - I was 37 weeks pregnant!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along:
37 weeks 3 days

Size of baby:
According to The Bump, baby girl is the size of a winter melon this week (had to google this one)

Maternity Clothes:
Yes and no.  Still wearing a mixture of both on top and pretty much anything that fits and is comfy but I will admit that the belly has grown to a size that most non-maternity tops don't completely cover it.  Maternity pants for months though!
I can't wait to get back into my pre-pregnancy blouses since they're my favorite tops.

GIRL!! If you missed that post, go here!  And if you missed her name announcement, go here!

She's still such a wiggle worm.  It's amazing how many kicks and punches I get all throughout the day and I just love knowing that she's active and healthy.
She's been sticking her butt/feet out on my right side consistently for quite awhile now and it's getting so uncomfortable. Makes my belly super lopsided and causes an achy feeling.

Sleep is still not going so well.  I mentioned last week that I've been sleeping on a waterproof mattress pad under our fitted sheet just on my side and it's still horrible.  It's not breathable at all and I sweat so much throughout the night.  I know it's only temporary but it's so annoying!
I absolutely LOATHE sleeping on my sides due to the pressure point pains it produces, so I wake up constantly to turn over, realize I need to pee so I get up to do that and when I lay back down it takes me awhile to fall back asleep.
I truly miss all the amazing nights of sleep I used to get.

What I miss:
Still really miss sleeping on my stomach the most but I also really miss being comfortable and not having to pee all the time. Oh and because the past two months the belly has done some significant growing, I've got some ridiculous stretch marks popping up and I hate them.  I miss my stretch mark free body :(

Oh goodness!  What haven't I craved recently?!  Right now I really want some baked salmon, rice and broccoli . . . too bad that's not on the menu for dinner!
I think I've eaten my weight in blueberry yogurt throughout this pregnancy and also in clementines.  Those are for sure my consistent favorites.

My back pain is still my number one complaint but I've added indigestion & heartburn back into the mix lately (even though I'm still on Nexium daily) as well as the frequent bathroom trips and lack of sleep.  And I really could go on and on about how uncomfortable I am lately.  Also, I'm super tired most of the day, no matter if I just woke up or have been going all day.

Favorite Moment(s) This Week:
We finally got our carseat and plan to have it installed by the end of the week.  It's so surreal to see it sitting near the front door right now and can't imagine how insane it will be to see it in our cars.
I've finished all the laundry I was trying to catch up on and now I'm just doing the rest of the cleaning I want to get done before she arrives.  It's amazing how much you want to do near the end and how little energy you have.  Or at least I have!
I packed Betty's hospital stuff in her diaper bag, painted the sign for the hospital room door, set up her swing in the living room and interviewed a pediatrician.  It was a very busy week and I feel like I've got ten so much accomplished!

Worst Moment(s) This Week:
Just the normal complaints with the addition of being exhausted all the time.  I definitely do not feel like I've had any energy spurts at all like I've heard some do.  Naps are the norm for me!

Looking Forward To:
I have my 37 week appointment today and can't wait to hear what the progress is.  I'm not too antsy for her to come just yet since I feel like there's still so much I could get accomplished but it's always interesting to hear the changes your body is making to prepare.

Which diaper bag is that? I haven't picked one yet & that's really cute. At least you have healthy cravings, right? I wanted McDonald's hot cakes & sausage yesterday, way past breakfast time. :)

Any chance we can get a pic of the hospital door sign? I didn't even think about doing a sign for the door.
Hang in there.

The car seat in the car will have you doing double takes every time you get in your car or catch a glimpse from the rear view mirror. It's one of those - yes, this is really happening - for REAL kind of things.

Can't remember if I put it in my book or not, but your local fire station will check it for you to make sure it is properly installed.

Hope you get your to do list finished and can put your feet up.

Wishing you lots of restful naps!
